Vent Hood Poorly Installed

Home Depot Design Center installed the vent hood and did a terrible job. Several dings and knicks and scratches; but Home Depot Design Center went out of business and Home Depot is not taking responsibility for the poor install and inferior product.

Great cell phone feature

Love the hood but when it was installed I noticed one of the grates was discolored and not shiny to match the other two! It took me numerous calls ( with no call back) and almost a month to speak to the right person to get a replacement. Not good customer service.

Terrible Lighting

I was so excited to see my brand new GE Monogram appliances installed in my new home's kitchen as we are just about done building our dream home. Until I went and turned on the hood light over my 6 burner GE Monogram gas cook top. The light is COMPLETELY USELESS. When looking down at the burners while I turn the light off and on, I literally cannot tell the difference of when the light is on or off. It has the brightness level of an LED keychain light fob. Maybe worse. I called GE Monogram's special line for Monogram customers and got nowhere. There is no fix for this. No extra light adapter. No option for a brighter LED light bar that could be installed. And now that we already purchased the hood (online due to supply chain issues related to the pandemic) and had it installed, there is no way to exchange it for a different hood. At this price point, I am already INCREDIBLY disappointed in this appliance and we haven't even moved in yet. I had GE Profile in my old kitchen and after every appliance failed one by one over the first 5-7 years of owning them, I swore I'd never own another GE appliance again. Then when I saw the Monogram line at a friend's house, I decided to give GE another shot. I should've known better :( GE, shame on you for producing a useless light feature that was mislabeled as having 6 brightness levels (it only has 4). You need to create a fix for this with a new LED light bar with brighter lumens that is actually functional for cooking and seeing what you're cooking and then provide a free service for the tech to come replace it. Until then, my recommendation is DO NOT BUY THIS HOOD.

Hood Light is Awful

The LED light for this hood is very dim, and is a cold (4000k+) light temperature. It is somewhat useless as a range light and if I can, I will be replacing the LED strip.

The fan is quiet and the vent hood looks nice. Remember to purchase the duct covers if you need them. We did not and had to wait on them to be in stock. Vent hood still works without them but looks better when the duct is coverd.

Quiet yet powerful!

The hood looks very clean/sleek and packs punch with the large fan. I expected it to be loud however it is very quiet for the volume of air it is rated to move. The build is very sturdy with a thick gauge used on the body of the hood and filters as well. The Wifi feature is nice as well as you change the fan speed and/or turn the light on/off right from the Smart HQ app. You can also program the light to turn on/off on a schedule so it can be utilized as a night light.
